WHAT WE
BELIEVE
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the final authority on all matters of faith. (2 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 4:12-13; Romans 15:4)
We believe in one God who created all things and who exists in three persons (Trinity): Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1; Acts 17:24-28: Matthew 3:16-17; John 14:9-10)
We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s Son and was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross, was resurrected from death, and ascended to heaven where he sits at the Father’s right hand. We believe that Jesus will come again to claim his bride, the church. (John 3:16; Matthew 1:18; Romans 5:6-11; John 20:24-31)
We believe the Holy Spirit dwells within all believers, empowering our lives with his presence and power to live a godly life and accomplish God’s will. (John 16:5-15; Romans 8:10-11; 1 Cor. 3:16)
We believe that man willfully sinned against God and is therefore lost and without hope apart from Jesus Christ. (Romans 3:23; 1 John 1:7; Acts 4:12)
We believe that death seals the eternal destiny of each person. The saved will inherit eternal life whereas the unsaved will be eternally separated from God. (Romans 8:9-14; Daniel 12:2; John 6:47)
We believe that salvation (eternal life in heaven) comes by grace through the blood of Jesus Christ (his death on the cross). (Matthew 26:28; Romans 5:8-11; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9)
We believe the Biblical pattern for receiving Christ includes acknowledging that Jesus Christ is God’s Son, repenting from personal sin, and inviting Christ to be Lord of your life. (1 John 1:8-9; Romans 6:1-7)
We believe that the church is the body and bride of Christ and consists of Christians everywhere. (Matthew 16:13-18; Acts 2:14-47)
We believe in water baptism by immersion for those who have accepted Christ as their Savior. We practice regular observance of communion as a means of remembering Christ’s sacrifice and death on the cross. We perform child dedications to acknowledge the parents’ desire to raise their child in the ways and instruction of the Lord. (Matthew 3:13-17; Matthew 28:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26; Proverbs 22:6)
