GETTING TO KNOW NEXTSTEP FELLOWSHIP
NextStep Fellowship is a family of people caught up in the awe of God, filled by the power of the Spirit, and shaped like Jesus. We’re a family on mission, partnering with God as He puts the world back together and fills it with His glory.
Loving Jesus, learning from Jesus, living like Jesus lived… so we look like Jesus in a world that’s searching.

Our church sits on beautiful, wooded property tucked off of Petrovitsky Ave., near Lake Desire. You’ll head up the road that winds through the woods towards Redeemer Christian School. You can find our building nestled in the trees at the back of the property after you’ve passed the school. Follow the signs to take a right just before the building into our parking lot and then follow the gravel path to the main entrance. Accessible parking is available directly in front of the building.

Our Sunday atmosphere is relaxed and casual. Service begins at 10am, come a few minutes early to grab some coffee or tea and a morning snack from our Welcome Table. The entire service should be done by 11:15am and includes: worship through contemporary music (with some traditional sprinkled in!), a Bible-based and engaging message that is both practical and relevant, and corporate prayer.

NextStep is all about family… whatever that looks like for you! We have a great kids program (NS kidZone) for children from potty trained through 5th grade on Sunday mornings. You’ll find a check-in station right inside our main doors where one of our friendly volunteers will get your kiddos checked in and show you where to go. We begin our gatherings all together and then, after worship, kids will be dismissed and invited to go to kidZone for age-specific lessons, activities, and conversation. They’ll join us again at the end of the service. Your littlest ones are more than welcome to stay in the sanctuary with you during our Sunday morning gatherings, we love their presence… noise and all! But we do have a family room behind the left of our stage that you’re welcome to use if you’d like.
We also have an awesome student ministry (Flame Students) for middle/high schoolers that meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:00pm.
NextStep Fellowship is part of The Church of God (Anderson, Indiana) which is a global movement of people seeking to fulfill God’s mission in the world.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the final authority on all matters of faith. (2 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 4:12-13; Romans 15:4)
We believe in one God who created all things and who exists in three persons (Trinity): Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1; Acts 17:24-28: Matthew 3:16-17; John 14:9-10)
We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s Son and was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross, was resurrected from death, and ascended to heaven where he sits at the Father’s right hand. We believe that Jesus will come again to claim his bride, the church. (John 3:16; Matthew 1:18; Romans 5:6-11; John 20:24-31)
We believe the Holy Spirit dwells within all believers, empowering our lives with his presence and power to live a godly life and accomplish God’s will. (John 16:5-15; Romans 8:10-11; 1 Cor. 3:16)
We believe that man willfully sinned against God and is therefore lost and without hope apart from Jesus Christ. (Romans 3:23; 1 John 1:7; Acts 4:12)
We believe that death seals the eternal destiny of each person. The saved will inherit eternal life whereas the unsaved will be eternally separated from God. (Romans 8:9-14; Daniel 12:2; John 6:47)
We believe that salvation (eternal life in heaven) comes by grace through the blood of Jesus Christ (his death on the cross). (Matthew 26:28; Romans 5:8-11; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9)
We believe the Biblical pattern for receiving Christ includes acknowledging that Jesus Christ is God’s Son, repenting from personal sin, and inviting Christ to be Lord of your life. (1 John 1:8-9; Romans 6:1-7)
We believe that the church is the body and bride of Christ and consists of Christians everywhere. (Matthew 16:13-18; Acts 2:14-47)
We believe in water baptism by immersion for those who have accepted Christ as their Savior. We practice regular observance of communion as a means of remembering Christ’s sacrifice and death on the cross. We perform child dedications to acknowledge the parents’ desire to raise their child in the ways and instruction of the Lord. (Matthew 3:13-17; Matthew 28:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26; Proverbs 22:6)
