To Love God and others. Under the guidance and through the strength of the Holy Spirit living in us we will lead others to Jesus Christ and His saving grace.
“Jesus said to him, ” ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. ’38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” – Matthew 22:37-40 NKJV
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.” – Matthew 28:19-20 NKJV
NextStep exists to bring honor and glory to God. We seek to lead people to take the next step with Jesus Christ and provide a base for serving our community.
What we believe:
The Bible Is Unchanging – Therefore it is relevant for us today serving as our authority. “The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.” – Isaiah 40:8 NKJV
Reaching The Next Generation – We have been entrusted with leading people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. We will use creative, relevant and contemporary methods to communicate His Good News. “To the weak I became as weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.” – 1 Corinthians 9:22 NKJV
Healthy Relationships With God And Others – The core of the gospel is about establishing and maintaining healthy relationships.”So he answered and said, ” ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.'” – Luke 10:27 NKJV
In Corporate Worship – We celebrate God’s presence and involvement in our lives. (Psalm 95:6 “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker.” NKJV)
Authenticity – We are committed to honesty and integrity in all we do. (2 Corinthians 1:12 “For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience that we conducted ourselves in the world in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom but by the grace of God, and more abundantly toward you.” NKJV)
Serving Others – Jesus came to serve others and teaches His disciples to do likewise. (Mark 10:43-45 “Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. 44 And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all. 45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” NKJV)
Excellence In All We Do – Enables us to glorify God before our fellow man (Colossians 3:23 “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,” NKJV)
